Pura Vida Expeditions has a staff of professional bilingual guides with studies in the local history, geography, culture, first aid, security, rescue and of course with years of experience and training in the outdoors.
The most important aspect for us is the conservacion and security in the rivers that we run.

FICO GALLESE
Born in Peru and is the founder of Pura Vida Expeditions. He has a Bachelor in Administrative Science and First Aid course. He speaks fluent Spanish and English.
Fico has close to 30 years experience of running rivers in all parts of the world.
He has been a leader in various first descents and was a member of the First Expedition "Peruvian and North American" to run the Cotahuasi Canyon which is in Arequipa-Peru and is the deepest of the world!
PASCUA PITHOD
Pascua born in Mendoza - Argentina. Has travel as a rafting guide and kayaker around Argentina, Chile, Peru and Italy. She speaks fluent English, Italian and German and of course her mother language is Spanish.
Her photography skills are well refined and you can be sure to have an enlightening and entertaining time under her professional guidance.
